Dynamical structure functions, collective modes, and energy gap in charged-particle bilayers

Abstract

The investigation of dynamical properties of strongly coupled charged-particle bilayers by theoritical analysis and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations was reported. The existence of two longitudinal and two transverse collective modes was shown by the spectra of current correlation functions. It was shown that the extended Feynman ansatz provided a precise analytical determination of the long-wavelength behavior of the collective modes.
