Drug issue in Hungary

Abstract

In the past decade drug issue in Hungary has changed significantly. Previously, Hungary was a transit-country, nowadays it has become a target-country. The quantity of seized drugs and number of drug addicts show an exponential increase. In criminal cases, distribution of drugs and division of market the organised crime has appeared with wide international connections. In addition to the so-called soft drugs various types of hard drugs have spread.
