Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

After the review of the data of the literature the causal importance of the parental mosaicism in the development of Down's syndrome is discussed. It is pointed out by the authors that in the examination of children with Down's syndrome a great number of metaphases of both parents, (in negative cases even various tissue) are to be examined. Especially in the case of young mothers parental mosaicism is to be taken into consideration. In the case of verified parental mosaicism prenatal diagnosis seem to be indicated in the next pregnancy.
