Does KNO scaling hold at LEP energies?

Abstract

An analysis of the multiplicity distributions observed in e+e- annihilation by the TASSO group is presented. Regular behaviour of the momentum combination 〈n2〉 - 〈n〉 is found. Based on this empirical regularity predictions are made for multiplicity distributions at LEP energies, suggesting that approximate KNO scaling will be observed by the experiments.
