Abstract

IT is still not known whether γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a "real" inhibitory substance in the mammalian central nervous system1,2. Before the role of GABA in inhibitory mechanisms can be understood, it is important to locate histochemically the sites of GABA metabolism.
