Abstract

Prism pair is proposed for dispersion compensation in a two-pass second harmonic generation scheme. The calculations in the low conversion efficiency limit show that the second harmonic intensity can be increased four times compared to the one-pass method while the doubling bandwidth of the nonlinear crystal is retained.
