Silver sols and radiosols have been prepared using NaBH4 reduction and Ag+ ions radiolabeled with 110mAg isotopes. The electroaggregation of the particles on a polycrystalline gold electrode studied by the so-called "foil" in-situ radiotracer method was described. For the purpose of the combined radiochemical and electrochemical measurements a new β-plastic dE/dX scintillation detector was developed. Experimental results of time and potential dependence of electroattachment-detachment processes, the surface excess concentration as a function of the electrode potential used, the "mobility" of the particles deposited have been presented and discussed. These results may give some new contributions to the research field of colloid-modified electrodes and to the best of our knowledge the radioelectrochemical investigation of the colloid stability is unique in the literature.
