Abstract

During the past five years, there has been tremendous interest worldwide in the possibility of exploiting chaos in wideband communications systems. This survey paper discusses the implications of using chaotic basis functions in digital communications. Preliminary performance results are given, potential benefits are discussed, and possible application domains are identified.
