Abstract

The neutron activation method was used to introduce a sodium tracer in aluminum. The diffusion coefficient and activation energy were determined for **2**4Na in Al. The difference between self-diffusion and impurity diffusion energies obtained compared satisfactorily with that obtained from A. D. LeClaire's model.
