Abstract

In the reported study dielectric spectroscopy was used to determine the compatibility of lubricants with PVC in molding compounds. In the investigation, various additives with lubrication properties were evaluated. It is shown that there is a close relationship between molecular structure of lubricating agents and their compatibility with PVC. In case of monocarbon acids, primary alcohols and esters with equal carbon-chain length the compatibility increases in the same sequence, while in a homolog family it increases with increasing number of carbon atoms in molecular chains.
