Dielectric relaxation in zeolites: Part III. Reduced diagrams, a tool for separation of relaxation domains

Abstract

In investigating the dielectric relaxation of the Linde 5A zeolite, a method was elaborated for the separation of the first and second relaxation domains. The procedure is based on the application of reduced permittivity diagrams. The second relaxation can be described by the Havriliak-Negami equation. Both experimental techniques using either suspensions or compacted discs of the zeolite to be studied were found to lead to consistent results.
