Dielectric and electrooptic studies of a novel ferroelectric liquid crystal mixture

Electrooptic properties of a novel ferroelectric liquid crystal mixture based on alkoxyphenyl ester and alkoxy-benzoic acids was described. A theory of dielectric response of the crystals was also presented. The theoretical model suggested that the dielectric response of this novel ferroelectric liquid crystal mixture was in agreement with the experiments and gave prediction for the values of elastic constant and electrooptic switching time.
