Abstract

NMR investigation and molecular weight determinations of the stannatranes, types I and II, have shown unequivocally the pentacoordination of tin and different stabilities of the SnN bonds. Mössbauer studies of the compounds show that this method is not suitable for the unequivocal determination of the coordination number in tin complexes.
