On rabbits corneae were lime-burns laid. The second, fourth and sixth day afterwards were lamellar keratoplasties of 10 mm diameter carried out. The results showed so much the better, the earlier the removal of the lime depot took place. The most serious consequence of the lime injury is the clouding of the cornea. To prevent it, the first task is the removal of the lime from the cornea; the treatment of the conjunctiva is following.
