Abstract

A detailed study of the area shows that the grade of regional alteration of the Mesozoic sequences forming the different tectonic units ranges from diagenetic to greenschist facies (chlorite zone) . Based on the petrological data, and on plate tectonic models of the Inner W Carpathians, an attempt has been made to reconstruct the evolution of the region.-R.E.S.
