Abstract

New developed methods have been applied to measure the methane permeability of various rubber samples at both high and low pressures. The time taken to determine gaspermeability has been reduced considerably. These methods enable a quantitative determination of gas formed during vulcanisation. These methods are also suitable for determining the permeability of water vapour, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide and so on.
