Abstract

Angular distributions of differential cross sections for elastic and inelastic deuteron scattering from 6Li, 16O, 32S, 50,51v, and 70,72Ge at an incident energy of 171 MeV and from 90Zr and 116Sn at an incident energy of 183 MeV are presented. Phenomenological optical-model parameters for elastic scattering are extracted from the data and compared to existing deuteron-nucleus global optical potentials.
