Determination of the Ks decay branching ratio

The measurement of the ratio of rates R = G{cyrillic}(KS→φ+φ-) G{cyrillic}(KS→φoφo) was carried out by means of the Ecole Polytechnique 1 m heavy liquid bubble chamber irradiated by a 800 MeV/c K+ beam. The result is a weighted average of two independent measurements corresponding to two different types of chamber liquid. The total number of observed π+π- decays was 3 000, and 701 πoπo decays were registered. R turned out to be 2.10 ± 0.11.
