Abstract

A new technique for enhancing resonance Raman lines of materials having strong luminescence is described. The applicability of this method is demonstrated by investigating three different laser dyes. The dependence of Raman line intensities on the experimental conditions is measured and analysed. The absolute values of resonance Raman scattering cross sections have been determined by solving a simple rate-equation model.
