Abstract

Since the majority of post-transfusion hepatitis cases are closely related to the HCV infections, the sensitive and specific detection of HCV-RNA is a central issue both in blood transfusion and in follow-up of hepatitis patients. This leaflet provides the technical details of HCV-RT-PCR.
