Abstract

Desmoplastic fibroma of the bone was first described by Jaffe2 in 1958 as an osteolytic, locally recurrent, but nonmetastasizing intraosseous tumor, histologically identical to the soft tissue desmoid tumor. Crim et al1 in 1989 reported seven cases of their own and collected 107 previously published cases.
