Abstract

The development of an energy-efficient operation strategy for road vehicles has been in the focus of research and development centers, suppliers, and manufacturers. The purpose of the strategy is to design the speed of road vehicles, in which several factors are taken into consideration such as control energy requirement, fuel consumption, road slopes, speed limits, emissions, and traveling time.
