Abstract

A survey is given on the elements of the following processes: liberation, penetration, permeation and resorption; as well as on the main factors involved. Author gives a detailed description about the intracellular and intercellular penetration and about the barrier function of the horn layer. Conditions of the effect solubility of the active ingredient, its diffusion and distribution between vehicle and the external layers of skin and between the horn layer and the living epidermis.
