Abstract

An useful engineering strategy is outlined connecting phase equilibrium experiments and modelling with pilot plant laboratory distillation and column calculations. The information content of experimental data on different properties are available and the role of planned experiments is discussed, together with an example of error propagation analysis. A novel method for checking thermodynamic consistency of data banks.
