Abstract

The present paper describes the development of equipment for the study of Raman Amplification spectra using continuous wave lasers. The high resolution capability of the method is demonstrated by the narrow line width (0.007 cm-1) recorded for the "motionally narrowed" Q branch of the 2v2 Raman band of carbon dioxide.
