The author gives historical overview in Hungary about many damages caused by mycoplasmas in domestic fowls and turkeys and presents internationally significant research results and development of diagnostic methods. He presents the ways of control by treatment and vaccination, and the eradication. Mycolasmosis causes severe losses in goose flock, and it is possible to control it by treatment and vaccination, as well.
