Abstract

The paper presents a framework based on autonomous, cooperative agents for the management of production networks. The framework proposed supports the functioning of several companies, product or service providers, considered as agents, working together for fulfilling a job-order (request) from an external customer. Key issues such as communication of the participants in the network, availability check, scheduling, time and cost efficiency are considered.
