Computer program for x-ray diffraction line profile analysis

Abstract

A computer program has been described which gives the particle size distribution and the deformation moments of a deformed polycrystalline material. The strain moments method of Harrison and the procedure for separating particle size and distortion coefficients, suggested by the author earlier, have been used. Before the Fourier coefficients of the x-ray powder line profiles are calculated, Stokes' correction, Rachinger's correction and decomposition of the Kα doublets are carried out. The program has been written in ICT Algol autocode language.
