COMPUTER MODELLING OF GROWTH CURVES.

Abstract

It was found by examining a large number of measurements that more accurate values are obtained if the calculations are performed using the average of the constants of the propagation curve, rather than the constants of the curve drawn using the averages of measured points. As an example, results obtained on the propagation of yeast fungi are described. The kinetic constants of 10 parallel Rhodotorula cultures were compared. The constants are in agreement with a 95% probability level.
