Comparison of the kinetic models of linear chromatography

Chromatography is usually described by either kinetic or equilibrium models. In this study we review the three main kinetic models which, in order of decreasing complexity, are the general rate model, the lumped pore model, and the lumped kinetic model. We show the equivalence of these models. Their solutions are calculated and compared in the Laplace domain.
