Abstract

Several solubilizing agents (EDTA β mercaptoethanol, sodium iodate, sodium chloride, saponin, sodium dodecylsulphate, urea β mercaptoethanol, phenol acetic acid urea, n butanol and pyridine) were tested and the extracts were compared by urea starch gel electrophoresis evaluated by microdensitometry. Fractions with the same electrophoretic mobility could be detected by all the above mentioned methods, but there were some characteristic fractions that could be revealed by one or two procedures only.
