Comparative study of vegetation and soil pattern in a mountain meadow (Matra, Hungary) II. Soil pattern and its overlap with vegetation pattern

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

In this second paper of a series, the results of a soil survey based on preliminary vegetation analysis are given. As possible limiting factors, some soil physical properties that affect soil-water availability to plants were studied. The distribution of vegetation types can be explained by the differences in the potential water supplying capacity of the soil profile types, since the annual soil-water dynamics of the area of each soil profile type was also studied. -from Author
