Abstract

Results of the study show that the basic cycles of such sequences can be organized into cycles of higher order. These periods were manifested in climatic changes which may have led to change in the rate of evaporation and thus in the water-level of shallow shelves as well. This is believed to be the main cause of cyclicity. - R.E.S.
