Abstract

The use of electron cyclotron resonance ion sources (ECRIS) with permanent magnets for cancer treatment was studied. Investigations shows that a TWT amplifier was employed to found the optimum frequency. It was found that the mirror magnetic fields were 0.59 T at the extraction side and 0.87 T at gas injector side. It was observed that all permanent magnet ECRIS was designed for the next generation cancer treatment facility.
