Coexistence of superconductivity and disordered magnetism in oxygen deficient YBa2Cu3Ox

Abstract

Diffuse magnetic scattering has been observed in oxygen deficient YBa2Cu3Ox samples of x=6.15, 6.34 and 6.59. For the latter specimen the magnetic fluctuations coexist with the superconductivity. The possibility of a low temperature spin glass state is discussed.
