CO measurements of optically dark clouds in Cepheus

With the KOSMA 3 m radio telescope we performed multi-isotopic multi-level CO measurements of unbiased sample of dark clouds in Cepheus in the 12CO(2-1), 12CO(3-2), 13CO(2-1) and C 18O(2-1) transitions. 16 so far uncatalogued molecular clouds were discovered, 7 of them were mapped. Kinematics and (where applies) velocity gradients were derived. The dataset allows us to relate the dark clouds of the region to the known interstellar medium layers and put constraints on their linear sizes and masses.
