Abstract

The existence of histological criteria of RA of ARA, the frequency and intensity of histological symptoms of chronic inflammation, and the occurrence of inflammatory vascular lesions were studied in tissue specimens of needle biopsy. The histological criteria of RA of ARA and the morphological indications of the inflammatory activity were found both in rheumatoid arthritis and in seronegative arthritis. Inflammatory vascular lesions were observed more frequently in rheumatoid synovial membrane. Morphological evaluation of synovial needle-biopsy supports the estimation of inflammatory activity; however, because of a lack of specific morphological marks, its diagnostic value is insignificant.
