Abstract

Genetic control plays a central role in the biochemical regulation of cellular communication. The basic rule of biochemical regulation states that the metabolism is determined by the energy demand. With respect to the genetic control regulation is discussed at different levels: 1. replication, 2. transcription, 3. maturation of mRNA, 4. transport of mRNA, 5. translation and 6. degradation of proteins.
