Abstract

Previous chapters have dealt with the molecular events of the genetic information transfer inside cells under in vivo conditions. This chapter summarizes procedures making possible arteficial i.e. in vivo gene transfers. Among these techniques recombinant DNA methods are the fastest developing ones. Recombinant methods make possible the isolation, multiplication, analysis and transfer of genes into other organisms and the expression of gene products.
