Abstract

AUTHORS' SYNOPSIS: A model for experimental myocardial infarction in the dog is described which enables blood flow and oxygen availability and consumption to be measured simultaneously in both normal and ischaemic areas of the myocardium. These metabolic and blood flow changes have been followed for up to four hours after acute coronary artery ligation.
