Abstract

There are two areas revealed by this study which may play a role in the regulation of the adrenocortical system: NA ergic terminals in the supraoptic nucleus and DA ergic terminals in the tuberoinfundibular system. The changes in NA metabolism in the locus coeruleus are possibly linked with the psychotropic effects of ACTH and some related peptides.
