Abstract

The review summarizes the morphological aspects of the catecholaminergic innervation of the hypothalamus. It describes the localization of dopamine-, norepinephrine-, and epinephrine-containing cell groups, the pathways ascending to the hypothalamus and the topography of the nerve terminals there.
