Catalytic investigation of quasi-two-dimensional palladium nanoparticles encapsulated in graphite

Abstract

The investigation of the catalytic activity of quasi-two-dimensional palladium nanoparticles encapsulated in graphite was performed. The graphite intercalation compounds (GIC) with palladium were found to be efficient catalysts in several heterogeneous organic reactions. The activity of the Pd-graphite compounds in the gas-phase transformations of different alkene substrates was investigated.
