Abstract

A low-loaded, organophilic Pd-hydrotalcite (0.1% Pd-HT) material was prepared via a novel synthetic method, mediated by an anionic surfactant stabilizer. The Pd-HT sample proved to be an efficient catalyst for the liquid-phase semihydrogenations of various alkyne derivatives.
