Abstract

From the ripe fruits of Asparagus falcatus capsoneoxanthin, a minor carotenoid was isolated and, based on its spectral data, identified as (all-E,3S,5R,6R,3'S,5'R)-6,7-didehydro-5,6-dihydro-3,5,3'-trihydroxy-β,κ-ca roten-6'-one. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd.
