Calculation and evaluation of electron-molecule collision reactions ' in silent electric discharge

Abstract

Electron-molecule collisions play a significant role in chemical transformation in a silent electric discharge. The reaction mechanism and kinetics have been investigated in various gas mixtures of Ar, N2 or CO with O2. These coefficients can be estimated both on experimental and theoretical basis. The measured values are in good agreement with those calculated by theoretical methods.
