Bioelectroanalytical sensors and analytical problems in their application

Abstract

A short systematic review of electroanalytical biosensors is given. Here, the partly overlapping categories of biomatrix electrodes and biomimetic sensors are classified separately according to their different properties. Analytically important properties such as selectivity, life time and response time are discussed in general. Recent results obtained in this laboratory by studying the application of certain biomatrix sensors are mentioned briefly.
