Abstract

A novel non-destructive and fast method called prompt-gamma activation analysis (PGAA) was used for assay determination of supported catalyst samples containing Pt. The results were in good agreement with data published earlier for EUROPT-1 and EUROPT-3. Direct determination of hydrogen was also possible. The results after drying gave information about the hydrogen content of the catalyst present in forms different from water and/or OH groups of the support. Possible further applications are considered.
