Abstract

Since 1990, the Department of Physiology and Biochemistry at the University of Veterinary Science in Budapest, Hungary, has been involved in the development of a multimedia system for teaching physiology to undergraduate veterinary students. The present paper describes the achievements and approaches during the last years, and2 how a Windows-based authoring system (Guide 3.1) has allowed the student-based introduction of ‘directed self education’, a method that very much enhances student creativity.
