Abstract

The solid-state supramolecular complexation of fullerenes C60 and C70 as well as of some derivatives of C60 was attained with γ-cyclodextrin by the use of mechanochemical high-speed vibration milling. Similarly C60 and the fullerene dimer C120 were complexed with sulfocalix[8]arene. The produced complexes were found to be soluble in water, and the solubility was examined by UV-vis spectroscopy.
